King University Finishes 10th at the Converse Spring Invite

The King University women's golf team competed in their second tournament of the spring, finishing 10th at the Converse Spring Invitational. The Tornado shot 696 and were led by Emilia Schildt who finished 33rd.

COURSE DETAILS: par 72; 5840 yards


HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Schildt started with a round of 83 before shooting 88 in the final round to post a tournament total of 171.
  • Ellie Pittman and Arika Wickramasinha both finished with stroke totals of 174.
  • Pittman shot 82 in the opening round before carding a 92 in the second round while Wickramasinha shot 83 in the first round and 91 in the second round.
  • Lisa Wahlqvist opened with a round of 94 before closing with a round of 83 to finish with a total of 177.
  • Joanna Stevens finished with a total of 201 after shooting 104 in the first round and 97 in the second round.
FOR THE FOES

  • Converse University won the tournament with a score of 605 while Newberry College finished second at 618.
  • Converse's Ana O'Sullivan was the individual champion with a score of 146.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The tournament total of 171 for Schildt is a career-low 36-hole score.
